The 9th annual Lasallian Educator Fellows retreat took place at Saint Joseph’s Camp on the Russian River February 26 – 28, 2010. The retreat participants included eight current Fellows and one graduate of the Fellows program. Marilyn Paquette and Greg Kopra from the San Francisco District Office of Education facilitated the retreat, assisted by Dr. Carole Swain, Sally Jamison, Brothers Camillus Chavez and John O’Neill, FSC.
The retreat’s purpose was to give the Fellows an opportunity to reflect, pray, ask questions, and discuss the ministry of teaching in the Lasallian tradition.
The Lasallian Educator Fellows program serves the Lasallian schools of the District of San Francisco. Each year, Saint Mary’s College sponsors a select group of Lasallian Educator Fellows to obtain their teaching credential through the Saint Mary’s College School of Education. In exchange, each Lasallian Educator Fellow makes a commitment to teach in a Lasallian school within the District for a minimum of three years.
Dr. Carole Swain coordinates the Lasallian Educator Fellows Program for Saint Mary’s College of California. For more information on the program, click here.
