De La Salle High School in Concord has announced that Brother Robert Wickman will succeed Brother Christopher Brady as Principal at the end of this academic year.
Brother Robert is no stranger to the District of San Francisco. Although he hails from the District of North East America, (and was, prior to that, a member of the Long Island-New England District), he has already served two tours on the West Coast: from 1994 to 1998, at De La Salle High School in Concord, and later, as President of Justin-Siena High School in Napa from 2006 to 2009.
Brother Robert made his Novitiate at Narragansett in Rhode Island, earned an undergraduate degree from Fordham University in New York, and Masters’ degrees in educational administration from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and in theology from Boston College. He has served for eleven years as a classroom teacher and over twenty-five years as a school administrator. Currently, he is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles and the Chair of the Regional Council of Lasallian Association for Mission (United States-Toronto Region).
"I loved De la Salle High School when I served there as Principal over a decade ago," said Brother Robert. "Being back at the school and having the opportunity to build on the tremendous work of Brother Christopher Brady and the many with whom he has collaborated is a great gift."
