The appointment of Brother James Joost as Auxiliary Visitor was recently announced by Superior General Álvaro Rodriguez Echeverria. In his letter to Brothers and Partners, Brother Álvaro noted “ I am certain that Brother James will be a valuable support for Brother Donald and that [they] will work closely together and be a sign of brotherhood for the whole District. . . . This will give a boost to shared mission and association with lay persons who will be able to ensure the future of the Lasallian mission.”

Currently, Brother James is the principal at La Salle High School in Yakima, Washington. He will begin the four-year term along with Brother Donald Johanson, Visitor-elect, on July 1st, 2011.
