Lasallian School in Washington Holds "Pick-a-thon'
to Benefit Education and Community

Jog-a-thons, jump-a-thons, lift-a-thons, walk-a-thons and other fundraisers are familiar. But what about a fundraiser that benefits a school AND at the same time puts fresh food on the tables of needy families? Enter the “pick-a-thon” coming up at La Salle High School of Yakima. La Salle students will pick fruit from the famous apple orchards of the region – the fruit will go to a regional food bank for distribution to families – the students will gain exposure to the realities of farm life – and the dollars pledged by sponsors of the student harvesters will be used to benefit La Salle High school programs. For complete information, and to find out how to become a sponsor, visit the La Salle High School web site at www.lasalleyakima.com and click on “PICK-A-THON.”
