Christian Brothers Ranch

Located on the grounds of Mont La Salle, Christian Brothers Ranch provides a 4-H style program for students from the Napa area, giving them both hands-on experience in raising animals and help with their education. Kids between the ages of 8 and 16 come to the Ranch two or three days a week after school to work with livestock. Younger students care for chickens and rabbits, while older ones raise lambs, goats or pigs, and the oldest and strongest boys are responsible for cattle.

In addition to learning about animal husbandry, the students are also given help with their school work, and they develop social skills as they work with others and learn how to show and sell the animals they have raised. Proceeds from the sales of animals are deposited in a college fund for each young rancher to be applied toward higher education upon graduation from high school.

Christian Brothers Ranch is always in need of financial assistance. If you can help with a donation, please contact the phone number below. You can also support the youngsters by purchasing organic meats offered through the Ranch or by attending the upcoming fundraiser, Moonshine & Wine.

The Ranch acknowledges with gratitude the support received from Napa Valley Vintners through their annual community fundraiser, Auction Napa Valley. Their award has helped the Ranch engage an academic tutor for program participants.
