The International Council of Young Lasallians (ICYL) is sponsoring International Lasallian Days for Peace. The effort will last one month, beginning on September 21, 2011, which is the United Nations’ designated International Day of Peace. During that month, the ICYL encourages all Lasallians to work toward understanding peoples who are enduring the adverse effects of war, violence and conflict. Young Lasallians hope to promote justice, peace and solidarity, “We not only pray for peace but also take action in the name of peace.” Information about their efforts can be found on the International website.
