Over the course of the last month, Lasallian Volunteers gathered in their respective Districts for the LV Discernment Retreat. Each retreat included an explanation of the discernment process, time for prayer, quiet reflection, and sharing. The West Coast discernment retreat was led by Br. Edward Hofmann (DENA), Br. Joe Jozwiak (DENA), Br. Larry Schatz (Midwest), and Marilyn Paquette (San Francisco). Lasallian Volunteer staff member Zac Ufnar participated in the retreat, as did several Lasallian Volunteer alums (Denis Block, Brendan Cochran, Amanda Cosio-Bognuda, Annabel Gallo, Kevin Kuczinski, and Chris Swain) who shared their stories of discernment and transition. Volunteers enjoyed retreat time at St. Joseph’s Camp as well as a trip to Mont La Salle to participate and celebrate the Brothers’ District Convocation. One volunteer commented that the discernment retreat was: “a very spiritual experience, providing me with great tools, time to reflect and prayerfully discern my next steps.”
