The
District Archives at Mont La Salle
contains records and papers of
the San Francisco District from
its earliest days on the West
Coast to the present. These materials,
which also include numerous photographs,
video and audio takes, film and
slides, reflect all facets of
District life, from our schools,
De La Salle Institute, and Mont
La Salle Vineyards, to the lives
and work of individual Brothers.
A
significant part of the District,
the Archives document in word
and picture the history, longevity,
and continuity of the De La Salle
Christian Brothers and their educational
mission in the District of San
Francisco. By gathering and preserving
the records that tell the story
of our mission as it is lived
out, the Archives exists as the
"memory bank" of the District,
storing the knowledge and experience
of over 135 years for use by those
who seek to fulfill the Brothers'
mission today and in the future.
