INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• The District Action Plan posted here is an interactive PDF file.
• You may download, name, and save one or more personal copies, to use yourself or to share with a working group.
• Use Adobe Reader 7.0 or later with this file. (For a free download of the latest Adobe Reader, click the Adobe icon at the bottom of this page.)
• Each Action Item in the Action Plan has a column headed “Notes on Implementation and Progress.” Into this column you can enter text. Text can be typed in or pasted in, saved, and edited. Your text can be spell-checked at any time by right-clicking your mouse on it. Thus an accurate, running record of activities, events, and ideas can be kept during the period covered by this Action Plan. When you open the file for the first time, see Action Item A.1 on page 19 for a sample and further instructions.
• Other features include:
  • all Internet addresses printed in the file are live links. Place your cursor on any text beginning with “www” and link directly to that Internet site.
  • Many “Comment and Markup” tools on the Adobe Reader menu may be used (text boxes, sticky notes, underscoring, cross-out) so that you or your working group can create its own distinctive version(s) of the Action Plan.
