Position:    Percussion Club Moderators

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory provides students with a meaningful Catholic, college preparatory education in the Lasallian/Vincentian tradition.  [Please see our school website, www.shcp.edu, for the complete Mission Statement and to learn more about the school.]
This person will coordinate a group of students as they explore their interest in percussion.  Responsibilities will include:

• Meet with the club at least once a week for one hour
• Lead the club in rehearsals for various events
• Help coordinate repair of percussion equipment
• Attend, lead, and perform with the club at their various events

• Athletic events, performing with the pep band and spirit club
• Musical Events, performing in the school and community (Masses, concerts, etc)

• Help students transport percussion equipment when performing in different locations
• Give individual help when needed
• Assist Concert Band and Instrumental Music percussion students
• Assist with sectionals for the concert band and instrumental music

Requirements:  Extensive musical training; broad knowledge of various musical styles and cultures; flexibility in their schedule to not only help with club meetings, but attend and perform with the students; previous high school teaching/coaching experience is preferred. 
Salary: $2800 per semester
Teaching Position:  Full or part time teaching positions may be available if qualified
