Portland's De La Salle North Catholic observed the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with a unique one-day camp for athletes. After a morning session of training, the students and their families viewed King’s "I Have a Dream" speech and discussed compassion and diversity as hallmarks of character.
San Miguel High School in Tucson, Arizona, hosted Mike McCoy, former Notre Dame All American and NFL alumnus as a guest speaker. Through his outreach program, Mike McCoy’s Ministries, he travels to Catholic schools all over the country, encouraging young people to focus their lives on faith and family to overcome challenges and peer pressure. |
