Students at La Salle High School in Pasadena raised $6,300 for Haiti earthquake relief. All of the money was given to Catholic Relief Services for disbursement to the devastated island country.


These are a few of the students involved in the Haiti earthquake relief fundraiser at La Salle High School in Pasadena.

La Salle High School, Yakima, head football coach Jack McMillan was honored as the 2009 Northwest Sectional Football Coach of the Year. The award was given by the National Federation of State High School Associations for a section that includes five states: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

State Majority leader Alberto Torrico visited De Marillac Academy during the week of January 11th.

February 8-12th was designated Social Justice Week at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco. Led by the Campus Ministry Department, events focused on the rights of children, mirroring this year’s theme for the International Institute of De La Salle Christian Brothers. A special assembly featured Br. Ernest Miller, FSC, who serves on the planning team for the Lasallian Student Convocation which will be held at the United Nations this April.
