Each summer De La Salle Institute’s Office of Education, in cooperation with local Lasallian schools and works, sponsors an Assembly for students involved in the Lasallian Youth movement. For one week, students from various Lasallian schools are engaged in prayer, reflection, service opportunities, and education sessions around the themes of Catholic Social Teaching and Social Justice Issues. After participating in the Assembly, Lasallian Youth members are challenged to promote a culture of faith, service, and community in their home schools and parishes. This year the Annual Lasallian Youth Assembly will be hosted at the University of San Francisco, in San Francisco, California, from June 22 through 27, 2008. Participants will include Lasallian Youth student groups from Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, and Louisiana.
