The
Lasallian Collegians Network has been established in the District
of San Francisco to allow graduates of Lasallian secondary schools
to stay in contact and/or engaged in the Lasallian educational mission.
The Network allows students attending private and public colleges
and universities to receive news and information from the Institute
on a regular basis. In addition to keeping students informed, the
Network is currently exploring ways to formally offer opportunities
to students who wish to stay connected to the mission. The Network
plans to sponsor a variety of formation activities including annual
retreats, immersion programs, and social justice awareness programs,
as well as opportunities for students to gather regionally to celebrate
Lasallian community and heritage.
Some
Collegians enjoy assisting Lasallian works through service. Others
assist the District Office of Education by providing leadership and
support to the annual Lasallian Youth Assembly and regional gatherings.
Many Collegians go on to explore other options available to them after
college, such as Lasallian Volunteers or entering Lasallian ministry
as a lay partner or De La Salle Christian Brother. For more information
about Lasallian Collegians contact Mr. Robert Jordan, Associate Coordinator
Lasallian School Programs at De La Salle Institute, rjordan@dlsi.org.
