An organization of former De La Salle Christian Brothers of the San Francisco District, their wives, families, and friends, Les Amis des Frères (Friends of the Brothers) fosters the educational mission of the De La Salle Christian Brothers, holding communal events and providing timely information for its members. Organizational meetings are held regularly to which former Brothers from other Districts and those who were in formation for the Brotherhood are also welcome. The District Provincial appoints a Christian Brother to serve as coordinator between the organization and the District.

The primary beneficiary of Les Amis des Frères is LEO (Lasallian Educational Opportunities), a tutorial educational program for inner-city youth of Oakland, California, sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers of the District of San Francisco. Each year Les Amis honors several deserving Brothers for their lifelong commitment to youth and the ideals of Saint La Salle.
