The De La Salle Christian Brothers of the District of San Francisco announce with sorrow the death of Scott Gibbs, noted videographer, loyal friend, and eloquent spokesman for the Lasallian education mission. Scott was recently named by the District a "Distinguished Lasallian Educator." (See the story and photos here.)  He died peacefully in his sleep on May 5, 2007, in Oakland, California.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Saint Mary’s College of California, in Moraga, California, on June 10 at one o’clock in the afternoon. A reception will follow the service.

A book of memories is being compiled. Anyone who knew Scott Gibbs or knew his work is welcome to contribute. To RSVP for the reception on June 10, or to contribute to the book of memories, please contact Joanna Hoops by June 4.
