John Scudder, Principal of Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco,
shared this message with the entire school faculty and staff via email, as his response to the
March 2000 testimonial article about vocations and community by Brother Robb Wallace, FSC.
Subject: community
Date: Wed, 01 Mar 2000 16:21:58
From: John Scudder
Organization: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory

hi, great article by bro robb wallace regarding his
thoughts on living in "community"… I  know the brothers,
daughters, and father julian will have a special appreciation
for his thoughts on the subject… but i also feel there is a
message for all of us… it initially might be easier for us to
work in isolation… to shut our doors and retreat into the
solace of our own office or classroom… but it is the energy
we receive from each other and the interaction we have with
our colleagues that makes shcp such a vibrant and special
place… I wouldn't want it any other way… john
