Brother Álvaro Rodriguez Echeverria, Superior General of the Institute, arrived in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4th to begin his month-long pastoral visit to the Midwest and San Francisco Districts. The goal of his visit is to encourage Lasallians to “live Lasallian values with more authenticity,” particularly in this unique time of association with lay people in pursuing the Lasallian Mission of service to the young, especially the poor.
Br. Álvaro is scheduled to spend his first two weeks observing and touring high schools, colleges and Brothers Communities in the Midwest District. Already, he has visited Lasallians in Tulsa, Chicago, Memphis, Minneapolis, Romeoville, and St. Louis.
He will arrive in the San Francisco District on April 16th and spend the following two weeks visiting the communities and institutions on the West Coast and in Arizona.
